The Paint Creek Trailways Commission plans to submit a grant application to the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund for the Paint Creek Trail Bridge 31.7 Renovation project. The draft application and preliminary plans are available below. The Paint Creek Trailways Commission plans to present an Accessibility Workshop to receive public comments and input from individuals with disabilities and accessibility/disability advocates on the project and the grant application. The project site is located on the Paint Creek Trail between Ludlow Avenue and Tienken Road in the city of Rochester. The purpose of the workshop is to receive comments and suggestions regarding accessibility for individuals with disabilities. The Accessibility Workshop will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Paint Creek Cider Mill, 4480 Orion Road, Rochester, Michigan 48306. Project engineers will be present to discuss the project and answer any questions regarding the design as it pertains to accessibility. The Paint Creek Trailways Commission will receive public comments on the project and its MNRTF grant application for the Renovation of Paint Creek Trail Bridge 31.7 during a public hearing at its regular meeting on Tuesday, March 21st, 2023 at 7:00 pm at the Paint Creek Cider Mill, 4480 Orion Road, Rochester, Michigan, 48306.
The public is also invited to submit letters of support for the Bridge 31.7 Renovation project. Please submit your letter to [email protected] on or before Thursday, March 16, 2023.
