The Paint Creek Trailways Commission plans to submit a grant application to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Spark grants program for the Paint Creek Trail Bridge 31.7 Renovation project. The draft application and preliminary plans are available below. The Paint Creek Trailways Commission plans to present an Accessibility Workshop to receive public comments and input from disabled individuals and disability advocates on the grant application. The project site is located on the Paint Creek Trail between Ludlow Avenue and Tienken Road in the city of Rochester. The purpose of the workshop is to receive comments and suggestions regarding accessibility for individuals with disabilities. The exact date for the accessibility workshop has not been set but is planned for early 2023.
The public is invited to submit letters of support for the Bridge 31.7 Renovation project. Please submit your letter to [email protected] on or before Thursday, December 15, 2022.
