The Trailways Commission sponsors two major events each year – National Trails Day and the Labor Day Bridge Walk. Other events are in conjunction with our Friends of the Paint Creek Trail group. The following official Trail events have been scheduled for 2017:

|Tails for Trails – Dog/Pet Event with trail courtesy information, contests, walk on the trail, training demonstrations||National Trails Day – Saturday, June 3, 2017|
|12th Annual Labor Day Bridge Walk and Run||Monday, September 4, 2017|
|6th Annual Paint Creek Crawl Cycling Event||Late September or early October, 2017|
The 5th Annual Cruisin’ for the Trails benefits our Friends of the Paint Creek Trail group. Registration is handled through the Motor City Brew Tours. The Tails for Trails event is new for 2017. It will be an “open house” style event with different things planned throughout the day including contests, training demonstrations, and a walk on the trail. The Labor Day Bridge Walk is a walking & running event, open to all ages. It is a free event, with suggested donations toward various trail improvement projects. Back by popular demand, we will have our 6th annual Paint Creek Crawl Cycling Event in late September or early October 2017. Previously, it was held in the spring.
All events are staffed by our Friends of the Paint Creek Trail group.
